Burton Barr Library

Serena went with me today to Burton Barr (Phoenix Central) Library as I attended the first meeting of the county-wide 2007 summer reading meeting. Committee meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month August-May, then in June and July we "do" what we spent the previous ten months planning before. This having been my 19th year of doing this in Glendale does give each year a special cyclical similarity -- probably similar to a teacher in that respect except we don't get the two months off, the nature of the job just changes!
