Dear Mary Virginia,
Hi! Thanks for the letter. Deedee appreciated your printing part of it so that she could read it. She says she doesn't want a pen pal because she wouldn't keep it up. But thanks for offering.
Ask Mom & Dad why they haven't written to us. I got a post card form them from N.J. but I haven't gotten a letter in over three weeks. Did they forget how to write? or type?
We went to see a Padres baseball game on Monday. It was a good game. They beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-4. We took Deedee. They have a person dressed up as a chicken who dances around in the seats during the game. I think that's what she enjoyed most.
You are welcome to come visit us anytime. Just call before you come so we'll know when and where to meet you.
Tell Grandma I cooked a tongue and it came out really good.
