Station Hill, New Cumberland WV ~1908

Station Hill  New Cumberland, West Virginia from Uible vintage postcard collectionPosted by Picasa

Station Hill, a section of WV Route 2 in New Cumberland, was closed in 2006 "to stabilize a slipping hillside" according to a news story from  A separate News9 story says "Station Hill Road is a main thruway in northern Hancock County, heavily traveled by many motorists. And ... the road also may be in danger of collapsing.
A large dip is visible, and cars tip to the side as they come to that area. Barrels were put up after the wall next to the road collapsed earlier this year."
