Dear Mother, Dad, and Mary,
Hi! Back to work today after a weekend of golf -- we played 12 holes both Saturday and Sunday. We took Wendy to Day Care Saturday morning while we played and then took her to the restaurant of her choice for lunch afterwards. She picked the Grizzly Bear Pizza Parlor and had her favorite -- pizza without sausage (she had Canadian Bacon.) Yesterday we played at 3:00 and had Mona our babysitter who lives around the corner come over. Wendy was taking her nap when we left. She told us she wants some toy golf clubs so she can play too!
Tomorrow is the library board meeting. I have been working on the budget so at least I can submit my recommendations -- if they are worth anything. I have talked to Barbara several times to see where she thinks it can be be cut. The assistant will probably be cut to around 25 hours/week and the janitor ($50/month) will probably be omitted except for enough money to have someone wax the floor once a year. Also we will probably eliminate the reserve fund and possibly maintenance and repairs since we have some money left from this year that was for that purpose.
Wendy was anxious to leave this morning so as a result I got to work early so am finishing this here. Got the letter (and check) about the estate of Priscilla Walker. Thank you very much!
When are you leaving for Arizona? The third week of May? How long will you be spending with Roberta? Do you have any other plans while you are in the southwest? We hopefully will be making a trip to San Diego and possibly Arizona next winter. Nothing definite yet. We'll have to see if Amtrak is still running. Or we might drive since we'll have our truck in good condition! And Gerry's back is in better shape for taking a long trip.
