Dear Folks,
Happy Memorial Day! I spent most of the day hiking over at the Superstitions with a small group -- tho took more time coming & going than actual hiking! Second hike in 3 days -- as hiked South Mountain w/ a group on Saturday.
Sid spent the day working on Bev's car -- getting it ready for the Colorado trip. We plan to leave early Friday AM -- 4:00 AM on the 7th.
August is going to be a busy month for us -- we just found out today that Cynthia is coming here for 10 days 1st part after her Jamaica trip. Then Sally & Andy can't come till August due to their many other activities in June/July -- I wouldn't want to leave Sid here by himself to handle those TWO! Nor would I want to leave Sid here to work when Cynthia is here. The talk is that Sid & Cynthia will probably go to Colorado. Much more desirable than AZ in August. Sid would say that is always true!
We got free tickets to "Other People's Money" at the Herberger. Quite good & funny!! I understand it's showing off Broadway.
Sid is working on the last NARFE newsletter before fall!
I'm now at the Dentist -- for the 1st of 2 root canals. Looks & sounds like it will e a long drawn out process! (Drawn out too when it comes to $$$!)
Beverly has now told everyone at SV of her moving to Colorado.Since she has been here over 5 years that is especially rough on the residents -- she has been here as long as they have! She also has spoiled them!
Did you find Dorothy Parker's birthday card? Inez was very appreciative of hers. She also was quite thrilled to get the yearbook. She probably won't be seeing her daughter for at least a month.
I did try to call this AM to Grandma's house to talk w/ Hortons. Perhaps Aunt Mary was over to Hillsboro for Grandma's breakfast.
The pain is about to begin -- hope this finds you both well -- I'm anxious to hear of J&J's plans & also from Serena. Did see an ad in the paper about extended to 6/30 to buy cheaper tickets thru Sept. 30th.
Now Wed AM -- mouth OK again -- 1st of 4 appointments over with! Did call Heartland w/ message for G'ma & then called to G'ma's room & spoke w/ Aunt Mary & Sadie. Heard all the details of why she quit Airborne.
We got tickets for Oliver on afternoon of Sunday the 9th. Will be busy weekend since it's just the night before I fly back from Colorado Springs.
I (we) will be writing another letter to Heartland. I'll enclose last one -- I had told Aunt Mary I would mail it to her long time ago.
Sadie did bring up on phone this AM about G'ma coming back home.
