Helen Ruth Spence Carr, 1916-2007, was the step-daughter of (Uncle) Harry Clarence Hiestand, 1872-1967. She was the daughter of Mary Olive Cope Spence Hiestand, 1883-1971, Uncle Harry's second wife, and Charles William Spence, 1871-1925. She had two siblings who both died as young children. Helen married Wilbur "Wib" Carr, 1919-1995, and they had a son, Richard.
Uncle Harry and his first wife, Ella A. Gabriel, 1876-1925, were the parents of three children: Lina 1903-1919, Joseph Franklin 1906-2004, and Paul 1909-1980.
Harry's was the oldest of his siblings – Luna (Mitchell) 1874-1970, Dorsa 1876-1959, Fawley 1879-1881, and Gladys (Uible) 1892-1993.
