1986 GHU Letter -Feb.18

[postmarked 2/18/86]

Dear Folks --

If I don't soon write you folks will be here before I know it.  I was thinking that Mary wrote last week but she said to Mary V.  Any way we are looking for you soon & at present the weather is improving.  It is warm & at last the sun is shining more.

Our minister & Mrs. Williams had open house & we called or rather made a visit for the afternoon passed quickly.  The parsonage is very nice.  It is not for me for their are steps & more steps.  Inside & out.  Then a concert given by a group from W.P. Beach.

We have heard from Joe several times & he was so glad it missed raining for a couple of days.  He says the scenery is beautiful but he has trouble sleeping for the noise from the frogs.  He misses modern conveniences.

Mary is supposed to have the bridge club Wed.  It seems as if they have been having a difficult time to have it when they could all come.

We have new neighbors next door & they seem very nice.  They live across the alley on the north side.  We are glad the other people left for they were not desirable in the neighborhood.

Mary & Bill are hopeful of touring England with another couple in July.

It will be good to see Velma when you come.  But we can decide when you arrive.

Love -- Mother
