Dear Mother,
We hope you have a real nice Mother's Day -- sorry we can't be there.
Our trip to the coast was really nice. The weather on Saturday was beautiful. Newport was having a "Loyalty Days" Festival (their response to the May Day celebrations in Communist countries). There was a parade and lots of other goings on. I think I mentioned that the Jackman's cabin is in Yachats (pronounced Ya-hots). We went to a Lions Club breakfast there on Saturday morning. Wendy had a good time and was well behaved so we were glad we took her.
