Dear John,Hi! Just wanted to send you a couple of pictures we got back from Christmas. Have you had yours developed yet? I'd like to have some prints if they come out good.
Does it seem to be strange to be back in school after your long vacation? You don't have too much more to go though do you.
Dad said you made some lasagna. How did it come out? I would have written down the recipe for you if that would have made it easier. Were you able to find ricotta cheese that wasn't outdated? Have you tried any other gourmet meals since you left here? We fixed that Mexican dinner for Dad and he seemed to like it. Last night we had liver, one of Mother's favorites you know.
They left this morning for a tour of Portland, Astoria and the Oregon seacoast. I guess they plan to be back on Saturday and Sunday we hope to get up to Kah-nee-ta for the swim we missed while you and Barry were here. Hope we have better weather this time. Then on Monday we are going to Bend to eat in the same place that we ate dinner on the big trip in1962. [Pine Tavern for #30 birthday] Some of the snow has melted here but most of it is still on the ground. What a bummer – hope it is about done for the winter. Especially since we will have to shovel it once we get moved.
We are to get the key to our apartment on Friday but we aren't actually going to be living there until the first weekend in February. That way we'll be able to move a few things over at a time and hopefully the curtains will be up by the time we get completely moved in. They think now that the rest of the apartments will be ready about Feb. 15th.
We hope you are readjusting to the academic scene. (That reminds me did you see Delta House on TV? It is supposed to be a take-off of Animal House – pretty funny). Write when you get the chance – new address is 257 West G St. #18.
