CJU Letter - Undated (Possibly 1951 or '52)

Monday Noon
[Probably March or April of unknown year]

Dear Harold & All

Your letter received this morning.  Regarding your Phila. customer you might sell him medium at 20 and the large at 26 less 2% - 10 days.  Would try to go along with them as long as we can make 3.00 or better per case.  If we don't sell them someone else will.

As to Jack Pack would write them and tell them we would like to furnish them their Jack needs had we known sooner but just at this time we are sold up to capacity.  Probably we might be able to supply them in about 30 days.  You might not agree with me but I am sure it is a good policy providing we can collect.  Would like to sell everybody in the business if at a firm amount and we should make a way to meant to increase our production so we can supply every[one] and when we can do that we can control our competitors and the selling price.

The deed for the parsonage is in our lock box at the bank.  Don't know about car.  Have nothing to say regarding the lots at this time.  Maybe when I get home might have some suggestions.

Regarding the Lincoln [car] they will get Florida license and insurance here.  Regarding selling stocks moved wait until we get home.  Phuw [spelling? probably abbreviation for some stock] will probably bounce back to 35 or better in the next week or two.  Would definitely sell it at 35 or better for they will surely cut the dividend at their next meeting in May about the 26th so you have some time to act.

Have paid ours and the Wells taxes for this year.  It might be well to order your brick for May delivery.  Now don't buy anything but good brick and well made.  Would use the regular size brick 2x4x8 and would order 19000.  17000 for the walls and 2000 for the chimneys.  i have been doing some drawing and have plans the way I would build it.

[The letter ends here.  Possibly the brick is for Wells, or if the letter was actually written in 1955 could refer to the brick needed for the building of the house at 66 E. College.]
