1970 Catherine's Postcard -Sep.1

Caption: Part of Memory Park from Pergola, Capitol Dome in distance, Salt Lake City, Utah.  The walls of City Creek Canyon have been transformed from hills covered with sage brush, greece wood and cobble stone to bowers of roses, lawns and beautiful shrubbery.  Memory Park, dedicated to the memory of Utah soldiers in the World War [One?], is now one of the beauty spots of Salt Lake City.

Hi!  The latest plans (subject to change of course) are that Debby and I will be leaving here next Wednesday, Sept. 9 and we plan on it taking 5-7 days [biking] depending on our speed, the weather, etc.  Dick is leaving Sunday for Columbia.  It is between Wash. and Baltimore.  Maybe he'll be home for Thanksgiving, but it's more likely I won't see him until Christmas, or Easter, or graduation, or . . . .  I don't dwell on such things while he's still here -- that's all there is so I might as well enjoy it!

Love, Catherine
