1969 Jean's Letter to John -June 29

Sunday --
June 29, 1969
Dearest John,

Just want you to know that we are thinking about you while you are at Boy Scout Camp.  Hope you really have fun -- that your cold gets no worse and that you make alot of new friends there.

We are already looking forward to Wednesday evening when we will see you again.

We hope you won't miss your paper route too much.  I know your customers will miss your "goooood service" and will miss you but if you write once in awhile we would really appreciate it.  And perhaps we can get a letter off to you once in awhile.  Remember it's your turn now!

Mary Virginia and Wiggles send their love and hope that you won't forget them when you are away.

We will try to take care of all your plants for you but you have so many -- it is really a big job.  I enjoy the beautiful red petunia in your garden from the kitchen window.  It really brightens up the view.  And soon even more flowers will be blooming there.

Make the most of the weather -- good and bad for there are advantages to both you know.  And we will be looking forward to seeing you Wednesday evening.

All our very best love
and XXXXXX,
Mother & Dad
