1979 Roberta's Postcard -Dec.13

[12-13-79]
Thursday AM
Dear Family,

Everything is all set as to Rob being at the place in Wickenburg.  Said that a roll-a-way could be used that he would be able to eat meals with us, etc.  I didn't tell them what kind of an eater he is!!!

Dorothy Stubbs has offered her two free beds to us . . . to use at their house.  Perhaps Rob and Mary Virginia could stay there especially during our peak time here 26-28th.  They are not having any guests for the holidays so would work out well.

The roofing went on yesterday at the house.  Everyday we can see little progress being done.

Christmas program at ASU was very good.  Usually tickets are $8.00 but got in at student discount for $1 -- not bad.  Was the Roger Wagner Chorale group -- alot of that opera stuff at the beginning where it looks like they are in great pain singing.  Took Dorothy -- and she really enjoyed it.  Was the first time she had been inside Grady Gammage and it is something to experience in itself.  Glad to know that the Morgans will be getting here on the 26th.

I am going to leave door key in washing machine -- so if we are out or whatever.  Rob will be able to help me at work -- delivering . . . if he wants to.  Got tickets to Phoenix Suns game (basketball) for this Saturday.  Will wear him out right away.  Mesa High's music program is Sunday night will attend.

Have a safe trip and looking forward to all the excitement!!!

Love, Berta
