Dad's Diary 1989-1999 [lightly edited]
Sunday 1986 - [Philippines and Korea trip through 10/10/86]
Friday 1989 - [Roberta visiting] Along with Roberta and Serena we met Bob, Bev, and Lisa Gooding at the Hammel House Inn for supper in Waynesville, most dinners $8.95, onion soup, $2.50. Rooms are $65-$75 per night with breakfast.
Saturday 1990 - [Freeman "Bill" Dailey visiting] Went to Columbus, toured the State House, the travel bookstore in City Center, lunch at Schmidts with John, then to the Historical Museum ($3 per car to park), interesting special map display, then supper at Max and Erma's. Gas 134.9¢ in WCH.
Sunday 1991 - [Roberta visiting] Brought GHU over for lunch at our house, then took her back aout 5:30. Mrs. Fannie Moore made a brief visit with her daughter (Margaret is 70), then we had supper at Frisch's, then to Krogers. Bargain on Hawaiian bread for 59¢. Talking to the Hortons about the Holy Land trip next February.
Tuesday 1992 - [Seattle to Far East Trip with Liggitts]
Wednesday 1993 - [New England and Nova Scotia trip through 10/10/93]
Thursday 1994 - The Walkers brought the refrigerator in from Hughes. Couldn't get the water shut off to the old unit, so both are now sitting in the kitchen. Hughes' bought it 10 years ago for $700 and we paid $250 for it.
Friday 1995 - Went to Waynesville with Stan and Georgileah Hannah and Roy and Shelia King for supper hoping to get her out on Sunday AM, etc.
Monday 1997 - [Freedom Years Riverboat tour ends] Landed at St. Louis, saw the two films and the arch ($10), and then to train station for lunch, etc. Back to Columbus at 3:40 where John and others were picking up people.
Wednesday 1999 - [NYC for church event]
