Hadley was an early missionary to Alaska, but I can't find any books by her. She is mentioned in a book called Authentic Alaska: voices of its native writers compiled by Susan B. Andrews, published in 1998.]

Friday 1992 - Dedication of new $3.8 million city building (40,000 sq.ft) in Wilmington, it replaced one of 1878 that cost $22,000. MUH feeling better, they have gone to see Cris and Angela.

Sunday 1994 - [Lancaster PA to home] Went to 9AM church at Highland Presbyterian Church. Left about 10:30, got to Scenery Hill about 3:30, what a crowd, so we ending up eating at Caringer's [?] about two miles north of I-70 on US-19. Got gas for 101.9¢ in Cambridge.

Monday 1995 - Jean went to see Dr Kim and I went to Court House. Mothers Club at Ponderosa, Press Gray [?] was to speak but he cancelled out, so had impromptu talks. Got a jar of green beans from Betty Eltzroth. Jack Walker told the story about the stranger and the girl who was going to come to the party.

Wednesday 1996 - On the Lions Club committee with Harry W. Carey and John Henize (?). Cost $14 a piece and had 21 present (3 Hillsboro guests), program by lady from Wilmington in wheelchair, who spoke on dogs helping people who are handicapped in other ways other than seeing-eye dogs. Phil McElwee, zone chairman was there. Now have 30,000 miles on the Honda. Got flyer from Wandering Wheels about their 1997 bike programs.

Thursday 1997 - [Freedom Years Riverboat tour]

Saturday 1999 - [Newark] We all went to the Home... place (the basket people development), everything on sale that we don't need. Have reconstructed a very large barn there. At 5m they lower the flag and release the pigeons. Said they fly home (16 miles) and they they repeat the process the next day.

From Dad: 1991 - This Ms. Hadley had connections with the local Hadley families. They were some of the earlier settlers in NE Clinton County.

From John: For 1999, the Longaberger Homestead is the place Dad is referring to I believe.
