I got the picture and I remember very well wishing with my eyes closed that my sisters would not pester me too much......that I would be able to pester them more!
Roberta, have you always gotten what you wished for? I think this picture is from 1958 as there are seven candles on the cake. Also possible to be 1957 if one of the candles was "to grow on" but I can't remember if that was an approved waste of birthday candles! At any rate it is NOT 1956 as we didn't move into the new house until November of that year. Jean Eaton may be the one responsible for Roberta's curly locks as we both got permanents from her at about that same time.
