Christian the cook

To go along with our food topic, I thought I might mention that Chrisitian volunteered to fix dinner tonight: hot dogs (choice of chili, cheese, mustard, catsup, onions, relish for toppings), mandarin oranges and pineapple.

This picture is from THE VARSITY, a famous Atlanta/Athens GA. drive-in started in the 1920s that serves many many hot dogs.

Wow! Too bad we can't all stop by for supper!

Do Georgians eat cole slaw on hot dogs? Or is that just North Carolina?

some do...but we didn't have any here. Is wheat germ something most people have in their pantry?

The more likely one is to eat whole wheat bread, the more likely one is to have wheat germ in one's own fridge/freezer. It is sold in most grocery stores now.

I've made the transition to whole wheat bread, but I can't say that the idea of wheat germ is very appealing. The name germ is not attractive in the least!
