Dear Family:
Serena made us feel at home in Bloomington this past weekend, staying in her apartment and seeing where she works part time and also where they do their computer work. Dad took part in the 20th Hilly Hundred Bike ride . . . it was a great weekend to be out and the trees were in full color.
The Harners went with us . . . they too have a daughter in the Bloomington area. Unfortunately they are lousy on directions but finally did find where their daughter lived.
We got to visit Cris, Angela and Laura Elizabeth on Sunday evening and briefly on Monday morning. Grandma does appreciate seeing the family. It gets her mind off more routine things. She has also had her trees trimmed this past week.
It was good talking to Roberta and Catherine this morning – they asked about our trip to see Serena – which we enjoyed. Got a little idea what RAGBRAI must have looked like with not quite so many but quite a crowd. Five thousand signed up and don't know how many others went along for the ride. Very interesting. Had nice visit with Serena and ate out at several nice places. Dad had never seen her apartment which is located in beautiful hilly area. The trees are still pretty there as well as along the way. All in all a very nice weekend.

May try to call you Saturday or Sunday morning. Don't stay home waiting for our call for know you have other plans – if we don't reach you will try again.
