Uncle Dorsey received a lot of postcards in this era, most advertisements such as this one. Presumably he shared them with his younger sister, our grandmother, Gladys Hiestand Uible.
As a refresher to his place in the family:
- Dorsa D. Hiestand was born Dec. 31, 1876, died March 10, 1959. He is the great-uncle of the Uible-Horton cousins.
- He was the third child of Ira Franklin (1851-1912) and Mary Ellen Fawley Hiestand (1853-1929).

Gladys Ethel Hiestand Uible (1892-1983) - In 1900-1902 he spent some time in Warrensburg, Missouri where he attended Normal School (Teachers College) [Note: Aunt Luna moved to Missouri in in 1901.]
- Married Margery Herrell (1881-1969) from Missouri on May 10, 1904 in Johnson, Missouri. Before 1910 the family had moved to Hillsboro.
- Dorsa and Margery had four children who would be 1st cousins 1x removed:
