According to the History of Sohio timeline: Sohio dominated the Ohio refined products market in the 1930's-1950's. Standard Oil Company was founded in Cleveland, Ohio by John D. Rockefeller in 1870. Standard Oil opened the world's first automotive service station in 1913 at Oak and Young Streets in Columbus, Ohio. Sohio ceased to exist as a corporation in 1987 when BP bought the last portion it did not already own.
Would CJU would have gotten these calendars because of the bulk oil company in which he was involved in the early 1940s or because of his road work from the 1920s-1940s?
