1982 Gladys Uible to celebrate 90th Birthday - June 20

An Open House to celebrate the 90th Birthday of Gladys Hiestand Uible was held June 20, 1982.  The following clipping served as an announcement of that event.  Transcription follows.

Mrs. Uible to celebrate 90th birthday

Mrs. Cecil J. Uible of New Vienna will celebrate her 90th birthday Sunday, June 20.

An open house to mark the event will take place at the New Vienna home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harold (Jean) Uible.  Arriving this week to help with the hospitality will be Mrs. Uible's son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William (Mary) Horton of Lake Worth, Fla.

Mrs. Gladys Uible was born on June 22, 1892, in Hillsboro, the daughter of Ira Hiestand and Mary Ellen Fawley Hiestand.  She married C.J. Uible on June 10, 1912, and the family moved to New Vienna in 1927.  Her husband died January 13, 1969.

Mrs. Uible has nine grandchildren, Robert Horton of Lake Worth, Fla; Cris Horton of Statesville, N.C.; Mrs. Lawrence (Marianne Horton) Kintner of Lancaster, Pa.; Miss Mary Virginia Uible of New Vienna; John Uible of Newark; Miss Serena Uible of Chicago, Ill,; Miss Roberta Uible of Phoenix, Arizonia [sic]; and Mrs. Gerry (Catherine Uible) Morgan of Madras, Ore.

All of them will be present for the celebration.  The oldest grandchild Joseph Horton of Saudi Arabia will be unable to attend.  Mrs. Uible also has three great-grandchildren, Robert Reed Kitner [sic], Wesley Kintner and Wendy Morgan.

Mrs. Uible is a member of the New Vienna United Methodist Church and regularly attends the services.  She continues to travel and spend her winters in Lake Worth, Fla.

Friends are invited to call Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5.  Mrs. Uible is looking forward to seeing and being with friends and no gifts requested.
