Paris July 30, 1929
Dear Folks
We had a delightful voyage without any very serious results to ourselves and so far have enjoyed every thing. We arrived here today and of course feel right at home because we can read everything and interpret to suit ourselves. Tomorrow we begin our sightseeing and expect to get fed up proper on Paris -- The trip from Hamburg here is a beautiful 5 hrs RR trip. The country is beautiful. The grain & hay crops are wonderful but not a stalk of corn to be seen. Will tell you all about it. Hope everything is OK. Regards to all --DD Hiestand
