A 1973 clipping from the Hillsboro (Ohio) Press-Gazette on Sept. 7, shares the news of Serena's attendance at Earlham College.  Unfortunately, the tape attaching the clipping date and masthead have discolored the first few lines of the clipping.  Transcription follows.  Following is a "clipping" from newspaper.com which also has it's in

GOES TO EARLHAM

Serena Uible, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold H. Uible, College St., New Vienna, has been admitted to Earlham College, Richmond, Ind.

A private four-year co-educational liberal arts college, Earlham is a Quaker institution which was established in 1847 by the Indiana Yearly Meeting of the Society of Friends.  Orientation for new students begins Sept. 15, with registration coming Sept. 19 and classes commencing Sept. 20.
