[postmarked June 1, 1983]On trip with the Goodings - his 4th, her 3rd & our 1st rafting excursion. Mild trip was today with rough rapids tomorrow but had good taste today. Really got soaked – glad to see the sun finally come out – have had lot of laughs & making pleasant memories. Hope someday to try the Deschutes w/ you. The Hortons are leaving 6/2/83 for L.W. The year is going quickly & it is still wet. Hard to get any garden out - tho our strawberries look promising. Love, all the Uibles
