1943 HH's Commencement Announcement - May 20

Would these have been sent to aunts and uncles?  Or only for the memory file?  Do the clouds over the school foretell the demise of the district and the "High" part of the school 20 years later in 1963??  Ten years after this announcement, in 1953, the addition of the school would be in progress, and eventually the property will be in private hands (since about 2000?) and covered with No Trespassing signs, leaving only memories and pictures of better days.
