Dad's writing on the back of photo:
Probably 1957--our back yard still has no grass. We moved in Thanksgiving of 1956. The maple trees came from the old Farms (?) Lk. lot.
If you can look at this image larger--even full page---the detail is amazing, especially to the right hand side of the photo.

As I looked at this again, I just noticed a young girl in the driveway---with blond hair. This would be Roberta?
I noticed the girl last night . . . I assumed it was Catherine - I thought bit tall for Roberta. I wouldn't definitely say girl is blonde.
Also, she looks well-behaved . . . need I say whether that is more likely to be Roberta or Catherine?
Also, I noticed the dog house beside the garage - not behind the garage as it was for most of the years that I remember it.
I vaguely recall back when there used to be more houses on the street facing the back yard, but other than Irwins and Frumps (the latter with two houses, I think), I can't say I can remember much about who lived there.
Well behaved? it's a picture and she's standing...
Yes, but her hands are folded in front of her and she isn't standing in some attention-grabbing pose. And she doesn't look like she is ready to race off to torture the newest Baby Uible at the time.
Can't say that I remember posing for that picture though. And since it is just a moment in time I think it could very well be Roberta, especially since I think it might be a later year -- I'm fairly sure the parsonage was not built until a year or two after our house. Dad must not have had much time to get to the landscaping yet, or he was still hoping for a two acre garden! Great picture though!
