Here's where we had breakfast yesterday, although we were under the roofed part of the patio -- it's a very pleasant place to eat and watch the tourists walk by at the same time in moderate temperatures (low 70s). We both had egg-beaters Mexican style --NO CHEESE, of course! Dee and Dan are doing well, kids Jessica, soon to be 18 and a senior in HS. Zachary, age 13, an 8th grader; and Jonathan, a younger version of Gerry, who will be 10 next month. Twins, Sarah & Dallas are in Las Vegas
Good to be back home with only four days to work before I get Friday off, although that means I work both Saturday and Sunday, but then comes Labor Day!

Looks very interesting! Catherine, how do you get calcium in your diet without eating dairy products?
Mary, for starters I take Calcium Citrate supplements. Many soy products such as soy milk and soy yogurt contain calcium as well as nuts and leafy greens. Also, I only drink tea rather than coffee or other caffeinated drinks as caffeine hinders the absorption of calcium as does too much protein in the diet. The latter being why it is supposed that oriental women on a traditional diet of little meat (and no dairy) have far less osteoporosis than the typical American woman who eats dairy products.
THe word is out on the street that a "regional breakfast and lunch place" will be going in near the QT between Sun City and Sun City West. Stay tuned.....
If it's First Watch I hope they make some improvements. Maybe a Black Bear Diner although I don't think they are in the habit of building new but rather take over old places. Keep us informed.
The newest addition to Dublin eateries will be a Longhorn Steak House beside the Cracker Barrel and across from the brand new La Quinta. I don't think Longhorn is at the top of choices for the vegans, though.
