old 8mm movies
Been thinking recently about the old family movies in 8mm (?) and wondering if the folks still have all of them? Would be nice to get them digitized on DVD and then copies for the whole family! My favorite frame---which should be it's own menu item---is the one of RUK licking each finger on her birthday after cutting chocolate/chocolate cake. Did she do a re-enactment this year?

If she did I missed it but Serena probably would have heard about it. Carrot replaced chocolate this year.

Roberta has the wedding film (the Uible/Ballantyne one) other than that I assume they are in Ohio . . . somewhere.
I can't say I actually witnessed her doing that at the party, but there were plenty of people around so she may have been on her good behavior.
talked to JB last night and he said he would try to remember to ask the folks about it next week when he is in NV. I looked up on the internet doing the conversion and pretty much the going rate is about .12/foot of film. I didn't think that was bad at all? Nice thing is that I have a machine at work that can copy the DVD so we don't have to pay for additional copies of this vintage stuff! Then again, who else would want it besides us?!
Just to let everyone know that I am back on, thanks Catherine. SERENA.....we need help over here! I do have the films....somewhere safe, which means I can't put my fingers on right now! More later, when Ifigure out how to post again.
